حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَمَعْنَاهُ قَالَ " فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنِ ابْنَةُ مَخَاضٍ فَابْنُ لَبُونٍ " . وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ كَلاَمَ الزُّهْرِيِّ .

محمد بن یزید واسطی کہتے ہیں ہمیں سفیان بن حسین نے اسی سند سے اسی مفہوم کی حدیث کی خبر دی ہے اس میں ہے: اگر بنت مخاض نہ ہو تو ابن لبون واجب ہو گا ، اور انہوں نے زہری کے کلام کا ذکر نہیں کیا ہے۔
