Privacy Policy
Quran Shorts is committed to absolute transparency. We operate under a strict zero data-retention model: we do not collect, monetize, or store your personal information.
Our Core Commitment to You
Quran Shorts operates exclusively as a creation and automated direct-publishing tool. We do not maintain any centralized user databases, we do not log your identity, and we will never harvest, monetize, distribute, or inspect the content of your YouTube channel.
Executive Summary
Welcome to Quran Shorts (“we”, “our”, or “the application”). This Privacy Policy describes how Quran Shorts interacts with your Google account and handles technical tokens when creating and publishing short-form video content derived from the Holy Quran.
By using Quran Shorts, you connect your YouTube account using official Google OAuth 2.0 protocols. We believe deeply in ethical digital practices (Amanah). Consequently, Quran Shorts was engineered from the ground up to operate with zero server-side storage of user information.
Direct Uploads
Videos flow directly from your device to your YouTube channel.
Zero Data Retention
No email, passwords, names, or metrics stored on our servers.
Full Revocation
Disconnect instantly at any moment via your Google Security portal.
YouTube API Services Compliance
Quran Shorts uses official YouTube API Services to provide seamless video uploading capabilities. By authorizing and using our application to upload videos to YouTube, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Your interaction with Google services adheres to the Google Privacy Policy.
- Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adhere strictly to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What Data We Access & Why
To perform its primary and only external function—uploading your generated Quranic short videos—the app requests narrow, specific authorization scopes via Google OAuth:
| OAuth Scope Requested | Purpose & Strict Limitation | Stored by App? |
|---|---|---|
| …/auth/youtube.upload | Allows Quran Shorts to upload the specific video, title, tags, and Quran verse descriptions you review and approve to your YouTube channel. | NO (Ephemeral) |
| …/auth/youtube.readonly | Optional/Limited: Used solely to confirm successful upload status and retrieve channel title to show you which channel is actively connected. | NO (Ephemeral) |
We do not access your YouTube watch history, comments, private subscriptions, payments, or analytics.
Zero Data Retention Policy
Unlike conventional web platforms that save profiles in database clusters, Quran Shorts operates on a decentralized client architecture:
No Server Databases
We maintain no remote database containing user lists, personal emails, passwords, demographic info, or unique identifiers.
No Video Archiving
Your generated Quran videos are compiled locally on your computer or temporary secure environment and dispatched straight to YouTube. We never keep backup copies.
No Third-Party Data Sharing
We never sell, rent, monetize, or trade any metadata or user interaction signals to advertising networks or third-party analytical vendors.
Local Token Storage & Security
When you authenticate with Google, your browser or device receives an authorization token from Google:
- Local Storage: OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored locally within your device’s secure credential storage or your sandboxed session storage.
- End-to-End Encryption in Transit: All communications between your machine and Google’s servers take place over mandatory TLS/HTTPS encryption.
- Expiry: Access tokens automatically expire after standard OAuth durations, requiring active refresh solely when you initiate an upload request.
Third-Party Services
Quran Shorts interfaces only with verified, essential third-party service APIs necessary to complete video generation and upload:
Used exclusively to upload the finalized Quran short videos directly onto your authenticated channel.
Facilitates secure authorization without requiring you to share your Google password with Quran Shorts.
Revocation & User Control
You maintain total control over your YouTube channel and Google account authorizations at all times.
How to Revoke Quran Shorts’ Access
You can disconnect Quran Shorts and permanently invalidate all active authorization tokens at any second:
- Visit the official Google Security Settings (Third-party apps & services).
- Find and click on Quran Shorts in the list of authorized apps.
- Click “Remove Access” or “Delete all connections”.
Because we do not store your data on any centralized servers, once you delete the local app session and revoke Google access, all links to your account are immediately severed with zero residual traces.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection
Quran Shorts does not intentionally address or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13. YouTube account creation itself requires users to meet Google’s minimum age guidelines in their respective country. If a parent or guardian discovers their minor has connected an unauthorized YouTube account, they may revoke permissions instantly through Google’s account security panel.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may periodically update our Privacy Policy to reflect modifications to Google API terms, platform enhancements, or legal standards. Any revisions will be published immediately on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued usage of Quran Shorts following any updates signifies your agreement to the refreshed terms.
